My father was Hugh Brizendine. He served on the Dyess from 60 to approx 67. He was a MM 1 and 2 during his time on the Dyess. My father passed away from lung cancer August 31, 2012 in Kansas City, Mo.
I am trying to locate anyone who knew my father during this time. Any information would be appreciated.

I served on the Dyess in 1974-1975 while it was stationed in the Brooklyn Navy Yard - I'd like to have my name and email address added to the crew page (the "join the DYESS Crew Pages" does not seem to be an active link) -- Thanks

I was hoping to have my Father's name, added to the Final Voyage page. His information:

Name: George Arthur DeChamp
DOD: 1953-54
Rate: SO2
Year deceased: 2013

I know he sailed to sea twice. Once to the Mediterranean and the other time to the Caribbean.

Thank you all for your past and continued service to Our Great Nation. I was a Tin Can Sailor myself, I served aboard the USS Harry W. Hill DD-986 and the USS Schofield FFG-3 Air Detachments from HSL-35 NAS NORIS.

Thank you

George D. DeChamp
