Mike , what a touching story, i know the feeling when you loose your dog. My black lab webster got into something when i was at work and when i came home she was laying on her side frozen next to the kennel. It was hard to get over and i feel for your family. take care

Ray forwarded your email to me, the one explaining the sudden loss of Havana. We are so, so sorry and heartbroken for you. I read the email while awaiting my turn in the nail salon, I had to step outside and wipe the water from my eyes before I could face the nail tech...they don't speak alot of english and I didn't want to try to explain my sadness since I speak no vietnamese. What a beautiful dog he has been since he was a puppy playing in the snow with Sailor, I remember the first pic you sent me.
We lost one of our family of pet companions on Valentine's Day when Maggie, our orange tabby, passed away in my arms on the way to vet. We, too, have her ashes and will hold on to them until it's time for us to go too. We still have our cockapoo's, Chloe and Dudley and our remaining cat, Marley..or THE Marley as she's known to the neighborhood.
I thought of you this week Michael, we were in attendance at Buffett's Labor Day show at Nissan Pavilion (#4 show for me!) and made several trips to Margaritaville when we were in New Orleans in June. Jimmy would love to know that your wonderful dogs have been named after his songs.
I'm thinking of you both with love from all of us..

As someone who has lost a good sized chunk of their heart when my dog Dusty died, I know what you're going through. But somewhere there is a sandy beach with nothing but sticks to play with, water to cool you off and fun to be had, and thats where Havana is playing right now.

Hopefully we'll see you guys soon over a margarita!!
