Brian , would just like to say thank you for the guidescope plate you recently manufactured for me, the plate is solidly made and fits perfectly to my newtonian.

Appreciate all your help and advice !

Regards
Mark

I wanted to learn how to take guided images & did
not want to piggyback my guide scope. I decided I would
prefer a plate, so the scopes could sit side by side. I
felt it would spread the load better.

I saw Brian of ASTROPARTS at Astrofest, in London, this
year, & saw that he had what I wanted on his stand.
Nicely made plates, & a very helpful man.

He sent me the plate, which was very well made. I
decided to have it made shorter, as I think, I may
have been misleading with my measurements & also I
decided to buy a smaller guidescope than my 6"
Maksutov.

Brian did not hesitate to take it back for alteration,
at no extra cost to myself.

He is very honest, helpful & genuine & I
will recommend him to other astronomers in the future.

Kind regards,

Fay

Brian has modified an LX50 mount to make a very sturdy
AWR guided alt-az which carries a 250mm flat mirror that
feeds a 100mm horizontal solar telescope.

Originally the flat was driven by an old half speed
equatorial head but this vibrated in the smallest breeze
and needed continual Dec adjustment if it wasn't an
equinox. The new mounting is solid and already allows
improved definition due to higher stiffness.

I would just like to say thank you to Brain for all his
help and hard work.
Brain made a new pier for my 10
inch Newtonian Reflector.
He also made a portable
pier.
Another project was a focuser with a 3:1 fine
tuner. This was adpated from a Crayford Focuser.

Brian,

The short Mogg adapters are great. They enable me to
image with a webcam or a video camera with my Coronado PST
H-alpha and Ca-K solar scopes
