Hello Sharon,

     What a fabulous shop you have.  Have been in vintage business since 1976 in Baton Rouge, La, New Orleans, Dallas, and Natchez, Ms where I presently live.  It's in the blood  need I say more.  I am in my 50's and my motto is "A young gal in an old dress is one thing.  An old gal in an old dress is another!".  Too busy to run shop and restaurant and have a life.  It doesn't help that I am in a small town in Mississsippi with not enough young people, hip people, or vintage consumers.  Anyway, will have to look you up when in San Jose next.  Was there last year, but missed your shop.  I'm selling out everyhing Wish it was up to your snuff.  Take care.

I have several 1940's-50's fur jackets to sell, which I have planned for eBay. But I also have my Dad's 1940's leather pea jacket with what was once fur (I think). The leather is very stiff, and the fur collar is shredding. Any advice for repair?

I like vintage clothing, and I suspect that items from the 30's and 40's would fit me better than most modern fashion (I have hips).

But I have always assumed that vintage clothing would be expensive and fragile.  Perhaps you can convince me otherwise.
