Are you a relative of a 117th soldier?:  Yes
Do you have any 117th Bn memorabilia?:  No
Comments:

My Grandfather was Napoleon Aubin. He served with the 117th Eastern Townships Overseas Battalion, C.E.F. from January 3, 1916 - July 21, 1919.

I just stumbled on all the information tonight along with your site. I hate that I found this when you are ready to shut it down. I have a picture of my grandfather in uniform if you're interested for any historical purpose.

Sincerely,
Jeff Aubin

Are you a relative of a 117th soldier?:  Grandfather was 748022 Corproal Donald Dick
Do you have any 117th Bn memorabilia?:  I have Corproal Dick's bayonette, though it isn't peculiar to the 117th.
Comments:

Corporal Dick's transfer destination is not shown on your site. Is there a way to find out which battalion took him to France and where he may have fought?

Thanks.

Are you a relative of a 117th soldier?:  Yes - James Rushbrook was my nan's Brother
Do you have any 117th Bn memorabilia?:  No
Comments:

James was born on the 12th May 1892 in Barking, Essex England, he had a twin sister. My Nan was his oldest sister.
It is now coming up to 100 years that James died 17th April 1917, his headstone states he died on the 16th which is wrong, I have also discovered that his current location, as only been from 1919 and, I will be visiting his first location.
James left England approx. 1912 - would love to known more about his life between this and when he signed up with 117th battalion on the 8th Feb 1916.
